I eagerly awaited my media release package for this as we in New Zealand got this a little later than the rest of the world.
(I was sent this collection from Farmers NZ in exchange for my opinion. The kit did not contain the liquid eyeliners.)
The highlighter is pressed into a mermaid’s tail and is super cute to look at. It appears in the packaging to be a champagne colour however upon swatching there is a pinkish sparkle to it in the light which is quite subtle, but definitely shows when you’re inspecting the colour. I totally loved this extra pop of sparkle that catches the light as you move. The price point on this is $14.99 and I would recommend giving it a try.
The liquid lipsticks come in 4 shades. Green, blue, burnt orange and a burnt burgundy shade. They have amazing coverage and each of the colours goes on easily and stays put on your lips. In fact, I struggled to take these off between swatches. They’re definitely long wear. The only criticism of these is that the blue and green shades are not the most wearable shades ever created but hey, we’re looking specifically at the mermaid collection here and they definitely fit into the theme.
The liquid glitter shadows are amazing. Super pigmented and can be layered over another shadow or used alone. They’re super glittery and everything a mermaid could ever want in her makeup bag. They come in black, teal, green and purple and I would definitely recommend trying one of these in your makeup bag.
The price points are as follows (in NZD)
Liquid lipsticks – $12.99
Liquid eyeshadow – $12.99
Highlighter – $14.99
I really enjoyed playing with all of the elements in this kit. The star of the show for me is definitely the highlighter and this will be going into my rotation of everyday use highlighters as I can see myself reaching for this one regularly. Id recommend checking out the collection for yourself as there’s room in every makeup bag for these babies.
