I was lucky enough to be gifted the Australis Cosmetics KPOP collection which some of you will have seen on my Instagram feed lately.
I have thoroughly tested these products for over a week and so I’m sharing my thoughts with you on this super cute collection. My immediate first impressions were just how cute the packaging is! Its pink and metallic with the powders in cute little heart shaped packaging. Nice work Australis because this collection is sure to sit pride of place on anyone’s makeup vanity!
I received the following:
- 3 lip glosses
- Contour powder
- Powder highlighter
- Powder blush
- Illuminating cushion highlighter
The mascara has a medium sized bristle brush with a wet formula which applies really easily. It didn’t clump up too much with multiple coats, although I used a lash comb between coats whilst my lashes were still wet. I think for the price point of $16.99 it is a good mascara. I have used mascaras in the $40 range and had very similar results to this one. So, I think it stands up against more expensive mascaras quite easily.
The glosses, which are named “lip tint oil” are in 3 cute colours that will suit most skin tones due to their sheer finish. There’s not a great deal of colour payoff but personally I like this for everyday wear. The gloss isn’t super sticky and feels more serum based. It felt nurishing on my lips almost like a liquid balm. The price point is $15.99 and I for sure give these a big thumbs up for both wearability and formula.
The contour powder is a tester size (so it says on the back of the packaging) and so this explains why it is in mini sized packaging. It is priced at $9.99 and is definitely affordable in terms of contour powders. The colour is slightly on the warmer side of contour shades which I can thankfully get away with. The powder is both blendable and buildable and so I’d definitely give this a try if you haven’t already. It’s at a super low price point and in a tester size so you have nothing to lose if you want to test it out for yourself.
The powder highlighter is a beautiful soft glow that will leave your skin glowing, but without that blinding highlight look. If you prefer a subtle glow without glitter chunks then this one is for you! Its priced at $9.99 and so won’t break the bank too!
The blush is a beautiful soft pink that gives a subtle flush to your cheeks that every girl wants. This blush is also priced at $9.99 and although its small I think this is reflected in the price. I paid $40 for my last full-sized blush and so I’m happy to build up my collection with sample sized blushes at this cheaper price point.
The highlight of the entire collection for me is the Illuminating cushion. This product is beautifully packaged and priced at $19.99. This gives an amazing low, similar to Benefit ‘girl meets pearl’ however its more pigmented and blinding than the former. I had to make sure I used this sparingly so I didn’t put on way too much which is easily done with a heavy hand. I feel like this product will go such a long way and last! I really feel like this is the star of the whole collection and If you were to pick up only one thing from the KPOP range then grab this! If you love to highlight you won’t be disappointed.
I would love to hear from you if you have tried any of this collection. What are your thoughts and favourites?
I was given these products for free. My thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
