I have been lucky enough to be gifted the Arbonne primer, mascara and lipstick to try for you.
As I have changed my diet to a plant based diet recently, I have been considering using more cruelty free and vegan friendly brands which I can incorporate easily into my beauty routine and so when I was offered to try these products I couldn’t resist.
I happen to know someone who is an Arbonne rep who gifted me these products to try. So, I thought why not share my opinions with you guys?
I’ll start with the product I tried first, a silicone based primer which is usually my preference because I like the way this type of primer fills my pores and creates a nice barrier between my face and makeup. This primer did not disappoint. A little goes a long way too. At first I used two pumps but soon realised that one pump of the primer was more than enough for the desired coverage. It left my skin feeling super smooth and considering I’m suffering with hormonal breakouts at the moment I thought this would be particularly challenging. My regular BB cream applied as usual and totally lasted throughout the day with no need for touch ups. I would happily use this primer as part of my everyday makeup routine. I currently have 3 different primers on the go and I do find myself reaching for this one over a couple of the others.
The next product I tried was the lipstick. I chose this in a soft rose gold colour, there’s a full range of colours to check out on the website. I found the lipstick to be super lightweight and creamy. It felt more like a balm on my lips yet the colour payoff was great too. It does transfer as it stays creamy and doesn’t tend to dry down and so it will require a couple of touch ups throughout the day, but I felt like this was fine as I prefer the light weight feeling and balm texture towards a drying lipstick that lasts all day. The colour I chose was super wearable and perfect for everyday and so I can see myself wearing this in the future too.
The mascara was the last product for me to try and I have pretty high standards for mascara, I currently have 10 different tubes on the go and so it had to live up to a lot. I use anything from drugstore mascaras to high end brands to try and get the flawless lashes I crave. So, I was super excited to give this one a go. The formula was a little drier than I expected which is not necessarily a bad thing as a super wet formula can sometimes be a little messier to use. The brush was quite large with short little bristles all over. I found this mascara to coat my lashes well and evenly and although its not waterproof it did not cause panda eyes or flake at all during the course of wearing it. I am picky about mascara in general and I have found myself reaching for this one as much as I do my other couple of favourites and that can only be a good thing.
To conclude I have found myself reaching for these products on more than one occasion and they are a part of my regular rotation of makeup. The star of the show for me had to be the lipstick. I have found myself throwing this into my handbag so I can reach for it whilst I’m out and about. I would definitely try more colours in the future and see how they compare.
Have you used any of these products before? What did you think? I’d love to hear from you below.
